CFL Betting: Odds to Win 2012 Grey Cup
June 08, 2012
The B.C. Lions are the defending Grey Cup champions, but they're only listed second behind the Hamilton Tiger-Cats on the updated CFL futures to repeat that win as the start of the 2012 season approaches.
The Lions won the 99th Grey Cup at home at BC Place last November, knocking off the Winnipeg Blue Bombers by a score of 34-23 in that championship game.
For 2012, though, the Lions are set at 9/2 odds at Bodog to win the 100th Grey Cup, just behind the 4/1 Hamilton Tiger-Cats. The Tiger-Cats lost 19-3 to the Blue Bombers in last year's Eastern Final.
The Calgary Stampeders and Blue Bombers are then each next at 5/1 on those current Grey Cup odds; Calgary fell 33-19 in the first round of last year's playoffs to the Edmonton Eskimos.
The Alouettes have 11/2 odds to win the 2012 Grey Cup at Bodog; Montreal lost 52-44 in overtime to Hamilton in their first-round playoff matchup last season.
It's then the Toronto Argonauts at 13/2, the Edmonton Eskimos at 8/1, and the Saskatchewan Roughriders at 9/1 on the odds to win the 2012 CFL championship right now.
The Eskimos lost 40-23 to the Lions in the Western Final last season, while the Argonauts and Roughriders both missed the playoffs in 2011.
